Back from Burning Man
Lessons learned
Hey all,
I’ve been out the last 2 weeks adventuring through national parks and spent a week on the playa in Black Rock City, NV for Burning Man over Labor Day Weekend.

Burning Man is an insane, week-long art and music festival in the middle of the desert where 70,000 people build a city from scratch, celebrating self-expression, community, and life—without cell service.
A truly great time.
Lessons Learned:
Disconnect to Reconnect: Take a week each year to unplug completely. No phones, no social media - just genuine connections with friends and spontaneous adventures. It's a powerful way to rebuild community and rediscover yourself.

Seize the Day, Every Day: Don’t wait for tomorrow. Do everything as soon as possible. Whether it’s popping a champagne bottle, talking to that pretty lady, or diving into a new experience, take action now. You might not get another chance.
Build Community: Life is about making friends, sharing adventures, and being part of something bigger.

Embrace the Simple Moments: Take time to relax and shoot the sh*t with the boys—some of the best memories come from just hanging out, being silly, and enjoying each other’s company.
Document and Reflect: Capture your experiences through photos, videos, and journaling. But more importantly, take time to reflect on your adventures and interactions. Every experience, even brief encounters, offers valuable life lessons.

Live fully, balance adventure with introspection, and build deeper connections.
Cheers,
Darryl
